The freight forwarding market is, and has been for a while, under pressure. Freight forwarders are facing issues like driver’s shortage, and due to this driver’s wages are increasing. Adding to the costs are also the driving times and rest periods, regulated by compulsory daily and weekly rest periods pursuant to common European regulations. The legal weekly resting period of 45 hours is no longer allowed inside the truck.
The MAUT (road tax)/Truck toll in Germany is being extended to all federal trunk roads as of 1 July 2018, and several other countries in Europe are also implementing road taxes.
We aim to provide our customers a stabile and predictable service, and to perform according to a satisfactory level. To be able to do this we need to meet the economic demands of the drivers and cover the increased costs due to road taxes.
All freights in Europe are affected by this, both in the EU and EEA, also where only parts of the transport is by road.
Due to all of this we are forced to increase our prices on road- and rail freight in Europe with 4% from 1st of July 2018.

All shipping lines are implementing Emergency Bunker Surcharge from the 1st of June 2018. This is mainly due to a dramatic increase on fuel prices. The surcharge is set by the shipping lines and can vary according to origin and destination of the goods.
Unfortunately this is out of our control, and we are forced to add this to our prices. Your customer contact in ColliCare will update your agreement. The surcharge will be added as a separate line on our invoices, and is valid from loading date.
We regret this increase in prices. We are of course available if you need further information
